Pressure to discriminate

Pressure to discriminate (gender and race only)

It is unlawful to induce or to attempt to induce a person to discriminate unlawfully

For example:
• A selection panel chair telling other panel members that the individual just wouldn’t fit in because of all of the other staff are a different race and implying or stating that this would make a bad choice and the person would leave quickly so they’d have to recruit again. This would be putting the panel under pressure to discriminate.
